Poster
Posters are one of the great ways to communicate your work to the scientific community. Generally, research poster presentations are delivered in scientific conferences, workshops, symposiums, or events that aim to bring researchers together to exchange knowledge, share research work, and get feedback from peers. This is a great way to not only communicate your work, but also to meet and network with like-minded academics who have similar research interests. This mode of networking, in most circumstances, leads to future research collaborations.
For preparing an effective poster, the following pointers may be helpful.
- Focus on communicating the central message of your research work.
- Focus on communicating your research design/results/methodology clearly, and it is generally recommended to use plots or appropriate pictorial diagrams.
- The title should be concise, which should be typically aimed at stating the conclusion from the research results.
- It is often helpful to mention future research directions towards the end of the poster to get feedback from peers.
- The text in the poster should be clear, concise, and legible to avoid ambiguities.
