Teaching Statement
A teaching statement typically forms a part of an application for a faculty position in an institute or a university. It highlights the candidate’s teaching beliefs and practices, as well as prior teaching and mentoring experiences. The teaching statement helps the faculty evaluation committee assess the proposed teaching methodologies, interest, potential courses, and long-term vision of the candidate. Furthermore, the presentation of the teaching statement demonstrates the candidate’s ability to organize thoughts and communicate effectively.
