About Us

At LDI (Leadership Development Institute), we believe that leadership skills are not limited to being a leader or holding an authoritative position. They are a set of learnable skills that can enhance the quality of both personal and professional life. Regardless of personality types or designations, leadership skills are relevant to everyone at all stages of their journey.
Unlike theoretical knowledge, leadership skills are best learned through experiences and active participation. They can be nurtured over a lifetime or forgotten over time. LDI recognizes that there is no specific template or minimum set of prescribed skills for being a leader, nor is there an exhaustive list of leadership skills.
Our objective at LDI is to promote leadership skills among the IITGN student community through experiential learning and engaging activities. We believe in going beyond monotonous talks and instead focus on active involvement.

To achieve this, we have prioritized our activities under the following seven baskets:

Interpersonal Skills/People Skills

Survival Skills

Social Awareness

Professional Development

Communication

Self Development

Others

We understand that students may not fully realize the need for leadership skills at their current stage. Therefore, LDI aims to create awareness and engage with students in creative ways. We organize accessible and attractive activities that become an integral part of student life, including events held in the hostels during the night.

In addition to our proactive approach, LDI acts as an enabling structure to support other student leadership initiatives, such as societies and clubs. We document and regularly review student engagement, which can be used to develop a transcript of each student’s learning experience and leadership development.
