The Odyssey team satisfied the children's curiosity about the cosmos, lasers, and telescopes.
We organized a session for students in grades 3-5 at Government Primary School Basan, Gandhinagar. During the period from October to December, Nyasa successfully executed the Umeed program, dedicated to uplifting the skills of contractual workers at IITGN, notably including security guards. Our Umeed initiative strategically addresses the digital divide among our contracted staff, offering comprehensive training in essential computer skills and English proficiency. It was thoughtfully structured to accommodate both morning and evening sessions, ensuring flexibility for every guard to attend based on their availability.

Sanjeevani, the flagship event of Nyasa conducted every year, is a health camp that brings together people from villages, community workers and doctors to a common point where they can interact engage and resolve their health issues.
The 8th Sanjeevani health camp was held in Borij village, Gandhinagar, on February 4, 2024. Over 500 people from the community were helped with basic health checkups and immediate medication. The event had support from 30 volunteers and 9 medical professionals. Alongside the checkups, there was a cancer awareness stall and games for children. After the first camp, a follow-up checkup event was held for people needing ongoing treatment. Around 20 individuals received further medical evaluation at the Civil Hospital. This shows the success of our efforts in ensuring patients received the necessary follow-up care.
Nyasa has always been for the students, by the students. Nyasa's goal has always been to support and educate underprivileged children, see them grow as individuals, and help them achieve their goals.
The aim of the Pathway program was to admit children studying in Nyasa school to regular schools. The lack of affiliation of Nyasa with any local government body was a major hurdle, and the migrating workers were unable to admit their children to regular schools.
Throughout the year, Nyasa organized four distribution drives aimed at benefiting various groups, including construction workers of IITGN from the previous year, metro workers residing in front of Gate 2, and contractual workers encompassing staff from housekeeping, horticulture, mess, laundry, and security departments. The distributed items included men's, ladies', and children's wear, plain clothes, bed sheets, pillows, footwear, toys, blankets, bags, and ladies' accessories.
