Sanjeevani Medical Camp

Sanjeevani, the flagship event of Nyasa, is a health camp health camp that brings together people from villages, community workers, and doctors to a common point where they can interact, engage and resolve their health issues.
The 8th Sanjeevani health camp was held in Borij village, Gandhinagar, on February 4, 2024. Over 500 people from the community were helped with basic health checkups and immediate medication. The event had support from 30 volunteers and 9 medical professionals. Alongside the checkups, there was a cancer awareness stall and games for children. After the first camp, a follow-up checkup event was held for people needing ongoing treatment. Around 20 individuals received further medical evaluation at the Civil Hospital. This shows the success of our efforts in ensuring patients received the necessary follow-up care.

IIT Gandhinagar as an institution has always believed in the general health and well-being of not only our community members but also our neighbours. Sanjeevani, the flagship event of Nyasa, is a health camp that brings together people from villages , community workers and doctors to a common point where they can interact, engage, and resolve their health issues. During the previous Sanjeevani, we had several health camps conducted within the villages.

However, since IIT Gandhinagar has always been welcoming and open to people in its surroundings, in 2020 we hosted Sanjeevani on our campus with families and children coming from neighbouring villages including Basan, Lekawada, Alampur, Siholi and Rampura. The event was conducted in Academic Block 7 at IIT Gandhinagar with each of the classrooms being converted into a check-up room for a certain specialty.
